During each episode of the show five contestants try to guess words on the basis of cryptic descriptions as an individual letters are revealed.
The faster they are at finding the right answer, the more they win. At the end of the week, one contestant will be winner of the week and the end of the month, these winners will compete again in order to be winner of the prize.
“Kelime Oyunu” hosted by Ali İhsan Varol broadcasted on TV channels since 2009. Since 2017 it broadcasts on Teve2 and produced over 500 episodes. Also it produced on different channels such as Kanal 1, Show TV, Fox TV, Bloomberg HT previously over 2500 episodes.
Each day, 5 contestants participate in the contest and try to know the words or word groups comprising of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 letters accordingly to the given definition. In total, there are 14 words or word groups to be answered, two words from each letter number. The contestant gets 100 points for each letter he/she knows correctly. The contestant has 4 minute on the clock for total 14 words (98 letters) and also might ask for having a letter beforehand but in this case, he/she cannot get point from that letter. The contestant who has the highest points becomes the champion of the day.
At the end of each week, on Saturdays the final of the week is held with the champions of the days. At the end of 5 weeks, the big final is held with the champions of the weeks. Episodes could be stand alone and in this matter the time of the contestants can organize accordingly.
