Sera Film was founded in Ankara in 1988. At that time, Sera was licensing foreign content programs to TRT as well as distributing independent movies. Since then, building on its established presence in the content provision for the TV industry, Sera expanded its services into TV production and consulting, as well as marketing of Turkish formats abroad. Licensing more than 1500 hours of TV content in 2017, Sera continues to provide services for the development and licensing of creative content in its offices in 2018.

General Director of Sera Film İdil Belli: My path with Sera crossed in 2000 when the company moved its headquarters to İstanbul. Since I took over the management of the company in 2006, my aim has been to expand the Sera Film’s product and service range and to give young people and especially women a chance to participate in the sector.

A systematic servicing structure lies behind the success of Sera in the past 30 years. Merging its know-how with the right choice of content, creative teams and a transparent and reliable service helped Sera to become one of the pioneers in its field.
