Sera Film collaborates for the distribution of Mediaset’s catalogue in MENA

Mediaset Distribution has closed a distribution agreement with Turkish Sera Film in cooperation with Kanal D with the aim to sell and find new business opportunities in the MENA Regions.

Manuela Caputi, head of Sales at Mediaset Library confirmed: “after 6 years of intensive collaboration in the Turkish market that Sera opened for us, we decided to work together more intensively, extending our partnership to private channel Kanal D’s distribution arm”.  In the last few years, the best-selling scripted formats Matter of Respect and Tuscan Passion were locally adapted in Turkey (Kanal D). “Our partner successfully understood the spirit of our series and this agreement will further strengthen the relationship of trust and confidence between our companies. Thanks to Kanal D’s strong penetration and experience in the MENA, we believe our Italian series can have a new horizon in these territories”, reports Manuela Caputi.

In Turkey was also sold the sit-com Young Enough to Fox Turkey who produced 100 episodes. “The Turkish market is very receptive market for us – said Manuela Caputi - we also sold drama series Fury and Woman’s duty.

For the upcoming Mipcom (Cannes, October 17/20), Kanal D/Sera Film will distribute 2 important titles: The boss is back and Name code Solo both are cop drama series broadcast by flagship Canale 5, but the Turkish companies will also bring the all catalogue of scripted and unscripted formats for the MENA Regions.
